Quite a lot have happened in the past couple of weeks, but have had many blessings from God... 1) 17 June ~ Father's Day + Parent;s b'day -- bought my dad a smart navy tie made of silk, Godiva chocolates, bought my mum a nice hand cream of lavendar smell and a white belt made of laces. We had dinner at Little Italy as well, so filling.... 2) 18 June ~ The Hong Kong Forum website is finally out and the forum is open for registration... all the hard work in the past 3 months in working with IT staff on the design layout as well as the registration mechanism... expecting it to be ready 1 month ago.. it felt like expacting a baby for the whole month! For those interested to what I've been doing at work -- www.hkfederation.org.hk/forum/forum2007 3) 18 June ~ Father's Day with Grandpa and relatives -- Grandpa was in such a good mood.... ate lots, including lobster (he's already 87, still healthy and able to eat what he likes). Later we went to his home and took pictures with him and grandma. Notice his green pen being well cute, I only had a quick comment but he decided a while later to give the pen to me as gift! How generous! It's a Sheaffer pen in green shield (green being one of my fav colours). 4) 19 June ~ Tuen Ng Festival Dad + Mum + me went on a massage trip to Shenzhen... so funny.. the massager who's referred by my mum's friend had been trying to pursuade my mum in opening a VIP account so we can have special offers etc. all through 2 hours being here.... 5) 23 + 30 June ~ Makarios for the last 2 weeks have been great -- Watched a film at church together...it's called "The Invisible Stuggle Room" (I think) made by "Christian Media"... edited from a real story, actually so touching I cried.... and nice time dining with the brothers and sisters catching up. 6) 27 June ~ Pauline's birthday -- It was such fun celebrating Pauline's b'day, what a reunion of the 2 care groups, so many people, I think almost 20 turned up. So much catching up, teasing each other etc. But Pauline will be going to the UK for her Law degree soon.. what to do... 7) 28 June (and the days around) ~ God's really answered my prayer on rotating to another department soon! and I heard from a colleague a few days ago on more news ~ a guess on which team I may be going to! I'm excited yet a little scared as now I have to prepare to hand over the work etc. I just hope I can adopt the new environment, with God's strength. People I'm thankful for -- My Mum + Dad, Grandpa, Makarios brothers and sisters, Care group brothers and sisters, my colleagues.... (and Hanhee, Flo, Judy, Rhonda... ) |
